Personal Fitness Portfolio - An Investment in Yourself!
This
unique service is only offered by AYA Fitness. It is the most comprehensive
fitness training tool available. Highly customized to your individual
needs, the PFP is designed for you based upon your current fitness
level and your personal goals. Whatever your current fitness level,
the PFP will guide you every step of the way on the path to reaching
your ultimate fitness goals.
THE
ASSESSMENT
Don't worry, this is not just about pinching fat. A certified
trainer will provide you with the choice of a range of assessment
options. These include posture, flexibility, Body Fat %, Body
Mass Index, Blood Pressure, waist to hip ratio, Cardiorespiratory,
and Muscular strength. The purpose of these assessments is only
to determine your current physical condition and measure progress,
not to make you feel uneasy about your fitness level. Choose
only the assessments you feel comfortable with. Your assessment
information is then entered into the computer in order to track
your progress throughout your program. During the assessment
you will also define your short and long term fitness goals
and particular barriers to achieving them. The assessment process
is of utmost importance because it allows the trainers at AYA
Fitness to design a program that is specific to your needs and
goals.
THE
DESIGN PROCESS
Once you have completed your assessment, one of our certified trainers will begin the process of creating your Personal Fitness Portfolio. Using your assessment as a guideline, the trainer will look at particular postural, flexibility, and muscular imbalance issues that you may have and prescribe exercises that will help to correct these issues. You will complete Core and other functional exercises in order to prepare your body for more goal specific exercises. When you have developed a basic foundation of fitness, the trainer will start to include exercises that will encourage you to reach your maximal potential. All of your exercises and your schedule will be organized in your Personal Fitness Portfolio in an easy to follow format. It will be designed to fit into your busy life and will include your personal preferences. Throughout the entire design process YOU will be the focus not an overpriced machine or workout facility.
THE
PROGRAM
Once the design of your Personal Fitness Portfolio is complete,
a trainer will guide you through the exercises you will perform.
During your weekly schedule you will have the option of exercising
at home, your gym, or at the AYA Personal Fitness studio with
a trainer to monitor your workout. The exercises you will be
prescribed will be reflect where you want to complete your workout.
Each exercise day, you will keep a “completion”
record of your progress in order to determine your adherence
to the program and how to maintain a commitment to exercise.
Throughout the program you and the trainer will make adjustments
to the program and take occasional assessments of your choice
to monitor your progress. As you progress through your program
you will reach the goals that you thought were impossible and
begin to live your life to its fullest potential. You will have
a record of every step in your path to success and will be able
to use this as an invaluable resource for the rest of your life.
